Moscow Cup 2004

March 21 will hold 4th Moscow Cup - the most prestigious international table hockey tournament taking place in Russia. The place of the event is Olimpiysky, where Olympic Games of 1980 were hold.

Moscow Sport Committee and company Sportmaster, the main partner of the RTHF, maintain the tournament. The official beverage of the Cup is beer Budweiser Budwar provided by North Winds Brewing Co.

At the end of the Cup will be an after party in Bobby Dazzler Pub.

The best players will participate in the event: the Russian champions in men’s, women’s and junior’s category, winners and medalists of the biggest international tournaments, players of the Russian National Team, top players of šNorway, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Czech, Estonia. You will see Russian wunderkinds - Zakharov brothers. At the last World Cup in Zurich Aleksey became the world champion in junior’s category and his young brother Ivan became the vice champion.

The Moscow Cup haven’t ever won by one player and moved to the same country twice. Every time the winner and his country were new! The winner of 2001 was Raivis Sternats (Latvia), 2002 – Janny Lappalainen (Finland), 2003 – 2-time World Champion, 9-time Sweden Champion Jacob Lindahl (Sweden). This year the organizers wait for another legendary player - also 2-time world champion, time and again Sweden champion and winner of two Euroleague rounds - Hans Osterman (Sweden).


Euroleague

This year Moscow Cup became the 5th round of Euroleague. Before it were hold rounds in Finland, Norway, Latvia and Sweden. The last one will take place inCzech.

10:45 — 14:00  — he qualifying round
14:00 — 15:20  — lunch
15:30 — 18:00  — games in placement divisions
18:00 — 18:45  — break
19:00 — 21:00  — play-off
21:15 — 21:35  — winners awarding
22:00 —       — after party in Bobby Dazzler Pub.
